Humble Thanks
Your Boulevardier is grateful for the outpouring of support and kindness he has received from you, the readers, over the untimely passing of the Trusty BoulevarDog. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences. Some more photos of her will be posted here in the coming weeks, beginning with this one; she's relaxing with her friend, the Subcompact Loaner, last summer. It's amusing to note which dog took the big bed and which took the small.
Her departure does not mean the end of this blog. Indeed, a goodly amount of material has been collected for future postings, and more regular installments should begin appearing soon.

I love the photo. We have a meduim size dog and a small dog. The small take sleeps in the large bed and the medium dog sleeps in the small bed. We finally bought one big bed that they share.
Your wanderings will feel strange without your trusted friend for a while. Then you will start to see that it will give you a little more freedom. Then another critter will steal your heart and it will all be new again.
I just lost my beloved dog BJ yesterday. It was very sudden! I took him to the vet at 10, by noon had gotten the dire prognosis, and at 4:30 we had him put to sleep.
Redwood Animal Hospital was WONDERFUL! They let me come in at 3 and gave me a special room. They said I could take him for a walk, so I did! AND a car ride! AND I bought him a hamburger which he loved...
It is amazing how big a hole these animal friends leave in our heart when they leave...
Condolences to you.
