Business Exchange Night
Your Boulevardier took advantage of the sunshine this morning and walked into downtown. The streets had been scrubbed clean by the rain (with the exception of the cigarette butts in front of Fura, about which other commenters on this blog have rightfully complained).
Among the things noticed: a poster for Business Exchange Night, sponsored by the Castro Valley Chamber of Commerce and slated for Thursday, February 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Transfiguration Parish. Your Boulevardier would like to attend, but he has a prior commitment; if any readers go, please post a report in the comments.

Perhaps there should be Assistant Boulevardiers. Demi-Bouls, as it were.
These would be CV loyalists specially deputized to cover beats and – with the Boulevardier's approval, of course – provide on-the-ground posts regarding matters of interest to readers.
I know of two people who travel from afar to Castro Valley on occasion, and who would feel privileged to offer travelogue-style observations under this blog's prestigious moniker.
These two individs (OK, I'm one of them) thrive on these distressingly infrequent dispatches and would like to see more frequent postings of the caliber established by Our Boulevardier.
