Hit the Bench
On Sunday morning Your Boulevardier noticed that the bench and trash receptacle by the Castro Village sign seemed to have taken quite a beating recently.
Anybody know what happened?

Can’t see any skid marks, probably not from a car. More likely caused by the punks who roam in packs through the village!
No doubt. Between the punks from the village parking lot and the "students" from the alternative high school, it is pretty hard to see things improving. Granted, there is not a lot for teens to do in CV, but one has to wonder if it might be time for something like: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123802404458842181.html

I don't thake this for granted. There's plenty for teens to do in and around Castro Valley. There are numerous parks with recreational activities available to them. There's a movie theater and a library with a better one on the way. HARD hosts concerts featuring local bands in the area. There are numerous inexpensive restaurants and coffee shops where they can socialize after the parks close. These kids aren't being raised on isolated farms with no access to their peers. Just what are they missing?
